Hi everyone,
Just a note to thank everyone who attended and/or helped in our
3rd annual Peninsula Model Show and Contest 2008 last
Saturday.
Well, we did it again!! The weather again cooperated and we had
a record turnout and a full day of fun and modeling nonsense.
Just a few numbers help to tell the story:
Models registered - 354
Display only models 50-60
Vendors - happy
Raffle prizes won - 88
We still had room for more models, although Head Judge Mark
Ford had his hands full making more room for some categories
as the registration period progressed. We have a reservation for
the building for the same Saturday next year, June 20th. Fort
Worden people are very helpful and always have the room set up
and ready to go. .
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for a better show/contest
next year please let me or another club member know as we
want to continue to improve each year.
