| In 2004 North Olympic Peninsula Modelers Society became a chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS/USA). NOPMS is part of Region 7 of IPMS/USA. Information from IPMS/USA Website: "IPMS/USA is dedicated to the hobby (and fun) of Scale Modeling. It was started by Jim Sage, of Dallas, Texas, in 1963. There are now branches of IPMS all over the world.
